Our Story

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Let Love Love Be My Motive Studio was born after our first miscarriage when I could no longer speak, I could no longer pray, but I could paint. The Holy Spirit continued to download creativity that would be a huge part of my healing journey. When I went to share what we had created together, I was challenged because I wanted things to be perfect. Little did I know, Let Love Be My Motive Studio would be blossom into sharing how I was being freed from perfectionism and embracing the messy middle of grief and hardship.
You’ll notice in the Studio that things are a little bit messy and the materials used to create are somewhat abnormal and often upcycled or recycled. This is just the way Abba wants it. The Studio's imperfections are symbolic to the way God's love works.
He doesn't care if we are a mess. He want us to come to Him and give Him every part of us. Especially the parts that we tend to deem as a "mess" and "unusable".
God is the perfect artist and creator.
He happens to know how to turn 'the messes' into a masterpiece.
Let Love Be My Motive Studio is where we embrace creating in partnership with Holy Spirit, letting go of perfectionism, and embracing how He makes messes into masterpieces. With the use of dried flowers, candle was, ripped paper, and other messy materials we can see that He makes everything beautiful in its time.

Hey there and welcome to Let Love Be My Motive Studio! I am so thankful you are here!

My name is Tanja Lunney and I am the creator here at Let Love Be My Motive Studio. I desire nothing more than for Let Love Be My Motive Studio to be a place where you can grow closer to the heart of God, grow a deeper hunger for God’s Word, and mature without a spot or wrinkle as the Bride Of Christ.

I transitioned from creating full time in my cozy home studio in the state of Louisiana to our wonderful shop in our growing community in Glenmora.

I enjoy reading via candle light on rainy days, writing with a cup of coffee or tea, and fuzzy blankets. I also love long strolls through the book store, art, and thrift shopping. I believe you will see that displayed in our store if you come visit!

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out! I would love to hear from you!

By the grace of God Let Love Be My Motive & Studio has grown so much over the years! I pray that no matter how you stumbled upon what God is doing here, that you grow closer to God, explore exactly WHO He has called you to be, the purpose He has for you, and make an eternal difference. Nothing matters more than Him.

SCRIPTURE FOCUS

Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. 'This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

Matthew 22:37-39 NLT
